Cornish
Steel Structures produces structural steel frames for
not just the Southwest but for the whole of the UK.
We manufacture frames from 10 to 500 tonnes. Predominantly
we manufacture structural steel frames including secondary
and architectural steelwork but we are also called upon
to carry out ship-repair and associated fabrications,
such as Kort Nozzles and davits etc.
We
are based in the picturesque county of Cornwall and
we are looking for applicants from either the local
area or someone who may wish to relocate.
Structural
CAD Operator
The applicant must possess a full knowledge of the structural
steel industry and have extensive experience in detailing
using Tekla X Steel. You would be required to work on
your own initiative, liasing with the client and the
design team to produce detailed general arrangements
and fabrication drawings.
There
will be occasion when you would be required to carry
out site surveys and transfer the information into working
drawings.

need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have a positive
mental attitude.

Structural
Steel Inspector
We have a full time position open for a workshop quality
controller. The applicant must have extensive knowledge
of structural steel and would ideally be an experienced
fabricator and erector; likewise the applicant must
be conversant with fabrication drawings and general
arrangements. The job involves some light manual handling
and use of forklifts.
We
can offer competitive basic hourly and overtime rates.
Fabricator
/ Welder / Erectors
We are looking for experienced structural fabricators
/ welders / erectors. We can offer competitive basic
hourly and overtime rates. Applicants must be willing
to work away from home when required to.
